16" large colorful Chinese porcelain jardiniere is fired glazed in Chinese Famile Rose Medallion patterns. A combination of Traditional Chinese art panels depicting the scholarly court life and natural bird and flowers are bordered with playful floral vines and geometric patterns. White porcelain is used for a rich palette of pastel colors: blue, gold, yellow, sea foam green and rose colors Two large panels depict a palace garden scene with black, reds, green and blue color palette. The top of this porcelain is highly decorated with flowers, fruits and scrolls and the inside is decorated with Swimming Chinese Koi fish. These were used for Koi fish in the garden.
