This Yu Mu Chinese antique wardrobe cabinet is hand made of solid elmwood, a hardwood, and used for storage in a living room or bedroom. The natural wood tone is honey color and enhanced with a hand rubbed clear lacquer finish. The wood grain is tight, much like rosewood. It has four doors, two in the center with round moon brass closure and cloud shaped door pulls, and two outer doors that open toward the center. Inside, from top to bottom, One removable top shelf, one drawer shelf unit with four drawers, and false bottom with a pullout bottom and storage. The doors use a round post hinge and are removable, allowing storage of large items. It has a Ming inspired design using a slight tapper, an elegant form, and it is slightly wider at the bottom and tappers to the crown top. This collectible antique is about 80-110 years old and restored by fine woodworkers in Shanghai. Rich wood grain and unique brass hardware make a fine addition in any home.
