This Mongolian antique reproduction chest was found by us and replicated by our staff in china. The cabinet is made of elm wood and the finish is new, and we wanted a strong accent piece, so we had it painted lipstick red with some black under coating for a rich deep finish. The drawers on top have simple Ming style brass pulls and then the doors are carved in a playful vine shape with vase shaped brass. The inside is finished in a dark red mahogany color, that shows the natural wood grains. Also there is a shelf behind the two doors. Another feature are the rounded top sides displaying a feng shui design qualities. Origin: Mongolia, China. They measure 45 by 15 by 33 inches high. The price is more than fair for this item and all it has to offer.
