In The Deep Blue

There is something undeniably attractive about a house near the ocean, where to escape during summer. When you walk through the front door, you will wonder to find a bright and airy space, with a casual layering of furnishings made with natural materials, light touches of color, and decor accents mainly collected from nature. The most important thing when designing a beach house is keeping a white base. With this white background, you can then go in all decorative directions. Light colors give depth and make the space more comfortable when it's too hot. The ideal would be to use a cold color (blue, pink, green, gray) to amplify the feeling of well-being and coolness. Natural materials are a must. Wood is widely used, as also bamboo and rattan. You can also add green plants of different sizes, large or small, to create movement through the space. Finally, you can add touches of color to the neutral base, both on the walls and (especially) on the accessories. Here are some beautiful color combinations we share in the photo below. Oriental blue and white pottery are very original and always chic and elegant.
