Transform this space that transitions you through space!
A home's staircase will inevitably complement its overall architectural lines. But when decorating, use this unique space to create more than functional passage.
Below we look at the open, the diagonal, the curvilinear, and a combination of all in reverse order. Look to the lines given to select accents. If there is enough space, take advantage of your stairway to create an additional environment such as a seating nook, an art gallery, extra storage in style or the traditional walk through of family memories. Keep in mind the visual lines change with elevation and the direction we face. If possible, accentuate the elevated ceiling. Your stairs don't have to be a grand statement but always make them an experience.
