The Great Room is a term that was introduced in the last century. This term is having a come back nowadays with a more practical and modern touch. So what is a great room and what is it for? In the 20th century, the great room was the space that combines the role of different rooms like the living room and dining room in one space and typically had raised ceilings for a more scenographic effect. Nowadays this term is used by real estate agents and new home sales consultants to describe a large open space on the ground floor of the house, located in or near the center of the home. The kitchen and living room together as well as the open space kitchen and living room, are synonymous with informality, the one that characterizes young environments where the concept of everyday life is “easy” and with a carefree mood. The open space houses are welcoming, lively, and always ready to challenge the commonplace in terms of furniture, to overturn common sense, because the purest modernity reigns there. Often some opt for a divider between the kitchen and living room or those who maintain a unique environment, which offers a wide range. Any solution should be taken into consideration when it meets the taste of those who live there, respecting the needs and a sense of beauty.
