This Chinese antique cabinet is in its original layered red lacquer finish. Its age is Eighty to one hundred and twenty years old, and found in northern China. It is crafted from elm wood with simple ming style features; an angle cut foot apron, simple lines with side panels, and reproduction round brass. This hardwood chest is the creation of Chinese artisans and is handmade using mortise and tenon joinery. It also features antiqued brass hardware. The finish has been restored with hand rubbed lacquer to accentuate the aged coloration. It is hand finished in robust red lacquer for a striking and elegant appearance. Versatile, too. Utilize it as a hall chest in your living room or as a cabinet or chest. Two drawers at the top with two doors and a shelf are perfect for shoes in an entry or for entertainment components, liquor, or storage in your living room.
