Chinese Antique Bowl

This Chinese antique bowl was used as a rice measure, dovetailed joinery and original coloration make for a wonderful object. It is from northern China and is about 40 to 60 years old. We found these Chinese elm wood bowls in the Chinese country side and had it restored by local craftsmen. Clean and simple lines with Ming style elements it measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 4" inch high. Use in a bathroom for soap or in the living room as a planter. Works in a modern, rustic or cottage interior. Refinished inside and out. No two are the same but all similar to photo.
