Our 42" Escritoire ( Writing desk) utilizes eight cubicles and seventeen drawers—including five secret ones for credit cards and bills . This distinctive, solid mahogany desk has a rich blend of French and English period style . This hand carving takes more than six days to carve ! The ball and claw Chippendale legs are a yard-wide so any Chippendale side chair can fit under it. The desktop has rope carved detail and hand-carving on three sides. Quality solid hardwood, authentic metal pulls and  hidden details make this stunning piece for generations to come.
