Hand Painted Floral Wedding Stacking Box

This rare square set of stacking boxes is unusual in it shape and gold florals. This lost art form of Chinese furniture building is called Coromandel and uses a technique of layering canvas and lacquer on to a wooden body to make a smooth lacquer finish. Hand painted floral is intertwined to make this an art piece. This cube shaped stacking box is used as a lingerie or jewelry box for weddings. Outside cube has cut out circles on four sides to see the detail of the three stacking boxes that sits on its base. This set is used for storage of valuables and offers a lot of design possibility.
