Korean Mother of Pearl and black lacquer furniture were made famous during the Korean Yi Dynasty. The black lacquer armoire is comprised of 2 grand doors for top wardrobe storage. There are five compact drawers with silver brass hardware on the handles across the middle. Also, additional two-doors that open to a smaller storage unit on bottom tier. Artistically crafted, the Mother of Pearl armoire is highlighted with iridescent color patterns from mother of pearl motifs. There is a significant amount of serene symbolism and imagery across the ancient oriental motif patterns. Inlays of Mother of Pearl accents with birds, deer, and natural landscapes tastefully illuminate this grand wooden armoire. Looks great in a modern, traditional, or Asian decorated room.
