Kwan Yin, commonly known as the Goddess of Mercy, is also revered by Chinese Taoists as an Immortal and the Bodhisattva of compassion. She symbolizes compassion; Kwan Yin is associated with mercy, kindness, and unconditional love in East Asia. Natural Rose Quartz is one of the rarer colored varieties of crystalline quartz. Rose quartz commonly has light tones, so gems with medium tones and larger gem sizes are prized. This Chinese statue is rare for its material and the sculpture's size.
