Large Japanese Porcelain Planter 24 Inch

Finding Asian porcelains of this size and vintage is rare. This Japanese planter is 24” wide at it widest at the top. Made around 50-70 years ago before mass production. This handmade porcelain planter has an opening large enough for indoor or outdoor trees or plants. You may consider using it as a base for a glass top table. This porcelain in made in traditional Satsuma patterns with floral medallion and geisha panels. Rich layers of thick glaze are textured to the touch. Small pointillist dot technique hand painting with earthly multi colors and contracting borders. Painted inside with water lily and Koi fish. Used for fish hobbyist for centuries this porcelain will be enjoyed for generations. This porcelain planter can be used indoors or outdoors. Use a rosewood stand for additional enhancement.
