Lattice Carved Chinese Wedding Canopy Bed

 This Chinese canopy bed is a simple , clean lined Ming style reproduction that is made of Elm solid wood with woven rattan top on the bed frame.  Also called an Opium Bed or Wedding bed, we designed this simple beauty in the Chinese Ming style and had it hand made by Chinese furniture craftsmen. It is modified to be able to get in on both sides of the bed for a more modern western use. Its canopy top is carved in a lattice design, its bed platform is woven rattan.  Finished with hand rubbed lacquers showing off the rich wood grain, it has clean and simple Ming-style elements.  Measures 83" x 63" x 85 inch high. Use in a bedroom or make a big statement. Works in a modern, rustic or cottage interior. finished inside and out. Requires easy assembly, 9 parts simply slide and join. Use a queen or full size futon,pad  or mattress.
