This large Goddess of Compassion statue is a reproduction from the song dynasty (650-1279). The statue is made of bronze with green patina robe and polished gold face, hands and feet. This 62-inch-high statuesque piece can be used indoors or outdoors as an art focal point to enhance any space. She is resting on an intricate lotus flower which represents purity. The flowing folds of cloth and jewels represent royalty. There are additional hand painted symbols located around the statue on the back and side. On the front feet have engraved markings of provenance. Her hands are positioned with a removable closed lotus flower. Her hands and feet are realistically proportionate to the body.
