Oriental Rose Medallion Porcelain Tea Box

This rare porcelain box originally used for tea storage and valuables is finely detailed in rich pastel colors. It is hand painted in classic Chinese Rose Medallion style. The use of gold, rust, turquoise glazing is hand painted in a masterly fashion. This rose medallion is painted in a classic Chinese wedding scene motif. It has a signature red calligraphy mark on the bottom and lightly antiqued. The inside is off white with antiquing. This fine porcelain is fire glazed for a waterproof seal. Looks great on a bookshelf or centerpiece on a table. Its rich multi colors look spectacular in your home.
