Rosewood Curios

This solid rosewood display cabinet is one of my favorites. This cabinet is made by a small rosewood shop in Hong Kong that offers classic Ming sensibilities to a modern furniture line. This cabinet is tapered (wider at bottom) with rounded beveled frame and iron hardware. No nails are used in its making and expertly joined using old world tongue and groove joinery. The Glass is beveled and the shelves are removable. The finish is a matte/ hand rubbed lacquer that protects it from water stains and makes the wood grain come to life. Use this chest in the living room as a stereo cabinet, or in the dining room as a bar.
